The microbiome is the community of microbes that outnumber our human cells a hundred to one. It exists on the “outside” of your body—skin, eyes, mouth, respiratory system, and digestive system. They are responsible for creating many of the communicators that keep our body functioning, and for breaking down and absorbing the nutrients of our food. These microbes respond to and reflect the trauma and drama in our lives, creating a breakdown in communication and competence, resulting in imbalance or disfunction.
